Research shows that Size 12 (L in our Chart) is a 76cm / 30″ waist.

For Costumes, Babydolls & Clothing the measurements below are of the item – check measured at the waist. As a guide: Unless you want ‘skin tight fit’, consider ordering approx 5 – 10cm larger than your waist for a comfortable fit. *This usually doesn’t apply to garments that say they are stretchy or with elastic waist, eg knickers & some skirts.
*** FOR CORSET SIZE SELECTION:
The size you are ordering is of the corset waist size with the laces fully closed (done up)
** YOU NEED TO ORDER A CORSET THAT IS SMALLER THAN YOUR WAIST SIZE this will allow for adjustment & lace up back.
*** Please check measure your waist and as a guide: Deduct 5 – 8cm / 2 – 3″ from your waist measurements and apply this to the waist measurement chart. **If the style states that it is a small make – deduct 5cm/2″ or as guided in the listing description. Generally: 5cm / 2″ for soft boned corsets & 8cm / 3″ for steel boned corsets.
***PLEASE BE GUIDED BY THE WAIST MEASUREMENTS
Measurements can have a variance of up to 2″ / 5cm in same size. Eg Size M waist can be between 71 – 76cm / 28 – 30″. If the style is generally on the minimum side of the chart we will note this in the listing description, meaning size M is generally closer to the minimum side of the chart.

If the style tends to run on the small side, this will mean the corset is usually closer to the minimum measurement in the chart. eg Size M will have waist closer to 71cm & would be more suited to size 10 than 12. In this instance it would be better to deduct 5cm from your waist.
** Your waist is the narrowest part of your torso – above belly button.
**IF YOU ARE ON THE CUSP OF SIZES, CONSIDER ORDERING THE SMALLER SIZE AS IT IS BETTER TO HAVE A BIGGER GAP IN THE LACE UP BACK THAN THE CORSET TO BE TOO LOOSE.
** Please Note: Our stock may come from different suppliers. We use our our own size chart & check measure the waist and will re-label when required to conform with our size chart. Some styles may have waist measurements that are outside of the general size chart & if so, we will include a size chart guide in the individual listing description.
